To this end, a Gallery has been created to capture these l'Ecosse frames (not to be confused with the later application of this transfer to some flying Scot's on request) For more details, see here.

This is perhaps the last Flying Scot built in Scotland that survives. It is thought that less than 30 were constructed in the last years at Alexandra Parade under the ownership of Evan Ritchie. This machine ER2 was built for the owner himself and was only one of two machines that so far had survived. The other frame ER11 was owned by former Rattray's salesman Jackie Potter.

After years of mis-identification, the early 50s style lug used by Rattrays (and identified originally as by Prugnat) have been correctly identified as Oscar Egg - Super Champion lugs (Model SC3) as imported to the UK by Waltho. Many thanks to Norris Lockley for identifying these correctly. These lugs can be seen here

2 June 2011
It can at times be difficult to confirm (or deny) that a frame is the product of Rattrays. It's occasionally made worse when the frame numbers offered don't match the "usual" pattern. Here however are two Flying Scot's clearly with Murray Street parentage (more thoughts on this peculiarity later) the first numbered 1961/5 courtesy of Mary Watson and a neighbouring machine 1961/20 from Richard Scott.

29 May 2011
You don't often see Flying Scots from 1946 in original (though a little tired) condition - you do here 21346 from George Hughes

28 May 2011
Due to the fantastic response by all the those Scot owners popping in to the site in the last couple of days, there's a pile of new Scot frames to be added to the Gallery very shortly - Watch this space and many thanks to everyone who has contributed.

22 May 2011
Apart from more tweaking the old pages to make them fit the new web site - the first of the Sots to be added to the gallery & register was provided courtesy of Graham White ; Namely from 1958 '595H'

19 May 2011
After an absence of almost 5 years! The web site has been re-introduced. At present, the web pages are as they were back in 2006 and please note some may be out of date and there may be some peculiar links to nonexistent or redundant pages (hopefully not too many) and some odd formatting mismatches so please accept my apologies for these errors!

The Next step however is to review and fully update the web site to include any new material & images that has become available since 2006, and to make improvements to its overall appearance
